Asking CLEO to do something
How a change you ask for becomes real: CLEO prepares it, you confirm it, and it happens once.
Ask CLEO can do more than answer questions. Ask it to plan a follow-up, move work to its next stage or reschedule an appointment, and it prepares the change for you. Nothing happens until you press Confirm.
How it works
- Ask in your own words. For example: "Follow up with Priya Raman next Tuesday about the quote."
- CLEO prepares a card. It finds the right customer or record and shows what would change. The card ends with Nothing is recorded yet.
- You decide. Press the confirm button — its words match the change, such as Confirm follow-up or Confirm move. To adjust something, press Change the details and say what's different. To drop it, say "never mind".
- CLEO checks again, then makes the change. Before anything is recorded, CLEO reads the record once more. If it has changed since the card was prepared, nothing is changed, and CLEO tells you.
- CLEO tells you what it did. The result reads CLEO did this, or CLEO did not do that with the reason.
Follow up with Priya Raman next Tuesday about the quote.
CLEO prepared this follow-up

What the card tells you
The heading names what CLEO prepared — CLEO prepared this follow-up, CLEO prepared this change or CLEO prepared this booking. Below it: who the change is for, and what it would be.
When the change is a new lead, a new request, an archived customer or a cancelled appointment, the card also reminds you that nobody is told: Nothing is recorded yet. CLEO does not contact them.
When CLEO doesn't make the change
| You'll see | What it means |
|---|---|
| This was already recorded | Confirm was pressed twice, or on two screens. The change was made once. |
A newer version of this was prepared, so this one no longer applies. | You asked for something different after this card. Only the newest card counts. |
It was already exactly that. | There was nothing to change. |
A reply that says it changed since I checked | The record changed after the card was prepared, so CLEO left it alone. Ask again for a fresh card. |
I can’t make that change right now. | That change isn't available to you at the moment — for example, that part of CLEO is turned off. |
Good to know
- One card at a time. If you ask for something else, earlier cards are marked Replaced by a newer one. Saying "never mind" marks them Set aside.
- Confirming doesn't use CLEO usage, and still works when this month's usage has run out.
- There is no undo. To reverse a change, ask for the opposite — for example, "Move Priya's follow-up back to Monday."
- Cards aren't kept in your conversation history. If you reopen an earlier conversation, ask again for a fresh card.
- Some things stay on the screens. Ask CLEO books only times it can see are free, and it doesn't record payments.

Why CLEO asks you to confirm
CLEO understands what you meant, but only you can say it's right. Confirm is the moment you approve one exact change, checked against your records as they are right now. That is why the same change is never recorded twice, and why a change never lands on a record that has moved on.
