Quick answers
The questions on Home you can settle with one tap.
Some of the things CLEO notices can be settled in one tap, without opening the record. Those appear on Home under Quick answers — three at a time, each a question CLEO can answer for you once you say what happened.
The four questions
| CLEO noticed | Your answer |
|---|---|
| An appointment has ended and nothing was recorded | It happened · Did not turn up · Cancelled |
| A request hasn't become work | Start work, choosing the kind of work · Answered, no work needed |
| Active work has no next step | Type the step, add a day if you like, then Set the next step |
| A website visitor may be someone you already know | Same person — merge · Not them — keep separate |
An appointment with no outcome
Once an appointment's time has passed, CLEO knows only that the time has gone by — not whether it happened. One tap records it.
If someone has already recorded an outcome, CLEO says so rather than recording a second one: That appointment already has an outcome recorded.
A request that hasn't become work
When a customer has asked for something and no work has been started from it, CLEO asks what it should be.
- Start work creates work from the request. Where you have several kinds of work, choose the kind first; where you have one, its name is on the button. CLEO replies that the work
is under way and the request follows it.
- Answered, no work needed finishes the request where it stands. CLEO records that it
was answered without work. It is complete.
If no kinds of work exist yet, the button is unavailable and says No kind of work is set up yet. Add one in Settings → Work Types.
Work with no next step
Active work that isn't waiting on anyone and has no next step is easy to lose. CLEO asks for one line: type it where it says The next step, in a few words, optionally pick a day, and press Set the next step.
The day is what makes the step useful later: once it has passed, that work shows up under Needs you.
A website visitor who may be someone you know
When someone writes through your website or books online using the email address or phone number of a customer you already have, CLEO can't tell whether it's really them — nobody checked. So it keeps the visitor on a separate record and asks, for example: Someone using Priya Nair's email address came through your website as "P. Nair" — the same person?
- Same person — merge into Priya Nair moves what the visitor did — their enquiry, request or appointment, and its history — onto Priya's record. The visitor's separate record then goes. CLEO asks you to confirm first:
Everything this visitor did moves there, and their separate record goes.
- Not them — keep separate leaves the visitor as a lead of their own, and changes nothing on Priya's record.
You can also leave the question until you know. Enquiries from your website explains the whole rule.
Where Quick answers appear
Home shows up to three. When there are more, a link beneath them says how many more there are to answer, and opens the full list on Attention, where the items carry the same taps.
The exception is the website-visitor question. On Attention today, only Not them — keep separate can be pressed there; to merge, use Home, or the visitor's own record, where the question sits under CLEO noticed with both buttons.
If you'd rather not answer now
Nothing here expires, and nothing is chased. A question you leave stays on Home until the record itself changes — because you recorded the outcome, started the work, set the step, or decided about a visitor somewhere else in CLEO.
