Appointment types
The kinds of appointment you offer, and which can be booked online.
An appointment type is one of the things people book with you — an initial consultation, a site visit, a check-in — together with how long it usually takes. They save you retyping the same details, and they are what a customer chooses from if you let people book online.
Adding one
In Settings → Scheduling, under What kinds of appointment do you offer?, give the Appointment type a name, say how long it Usually takes in minutes, and press Add appointment type.
Name them the way you'd say them to a customer. "Initial consultation" and "Site visit" are types; "60 minutes" is not.
Length is a starting point, not a rule
The length you set fills in the booking form when you choose that type. You can still change the length for a particular appointment — a longer first session, a shorter follow-up.
Offering, and stopping
Each type you've saved has Stop offering this. That takes it off the list for new bookings and moves it into your no-longer-offered list, where Offer this again brings it back.
Nothing is deleted, and appointments booked under that type keep it. A type you stop offering in winter and revive in spring keeps its history intact.
Which types customers can book themselves
Every saved type carries a checkbox: Available for online booking. It starts off. Tick it, press Save on that row, and that type becomes one customers can choose for themselves.
Ticking types is only half of online booking; there is a separate switch that opens your booking page at all, and a link to share.
Online booking covers switching it on and sharing your link.
Booking something that isn't a type
Types are a convenience, not a catalogue. On the booking form you can always choose Something else and describe the appointment in your own words. Use types for what you do regularly, and plain words for the rest.
That completes the setup: with your hours, your different dates, your booking rules, CLEO's view of your week and the kinds of appointment you offer, CLEO can safely say which times are free — and you can book people in.
